By accessing or using NYS Exam Prep ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and subscribers.
NYS Exam Prep provides an online study and practice examination tool for the New York State Security & Fire Alarm Installer License Exam. The Platform includes module-based study guides, timed practice tests, and performance tracking. The Platform is an independent educational tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any New York State government agency or official licensing body.
To access paid features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may not share your account with others. Each subscription is for individual use only. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
Full access to all study modules, practice tests, and the Final Exam requires a paid subscription at $79/month. Subscriptions are billed monthly via secure third-party payment processors. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. A free account includes a limited preview: the opening sections of the Module 1 study guide and one 10-question Module 1 practice test.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at office.nyalarmprep@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid content until your subscription period ends. Payments already made are final and non-refundable — see our Refund Policy for details.
All content on the Platform — including study guides, practice questions, explanations, diagrams, and code — is the intellectual property of NYS Exam Prep. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Content is provided for your personal, non-commercial educational use only.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, that practice questions will match the actual NYS exam, or that use of the Platform will result in passing the exam. Exam content and requirements may change; always refer to official NYS sources.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NYS Exam Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of New York County, New York.
